Things seem to be looking up slightly for Harry Redknapp and Tottenham fans as previous injury concerns are seemingly lessening in time for the AC Milan game on Tuesday the fifteenth February.

Rafael Van Der Vaart has tweeted that he is working hard and is hopeful of being ready to start, whilst Harry has today admitted that he can not definitely rule out star winger Gareth Bale from taking part.Although he had stated after the Sunderland game that though  Bale was improving Tuesday might be a little too soon for the young Welshman.

Tottenham fly out to Milan Tomorrow (Monday 14th February,) Yes,Valentine’s Day lads don’t forget your cards and flowers or you’ll be for it.And what a gift it would be to all the Tottenham faithful if both Gareth and Rafael were fit to play.Although there is no chance for Modric who is still recuperating from an appendix operation.

This game has all the hall marks of being a classic, with both teams ready to go for the win.Milan because their fans would never forgive them if they didn’t seem to at least attempt to put the English upstarts to the sword, and Tottenham Hotspur? because, well,we know no other way of playing.

And with players such as Ibrahimovic ,Robinho and one Kevin Prince Boateng who I’m sure will have one or two reasons to be more than up for the tie,Milan are not short of attacking options.Though might I add we are certainly more than capable too.And with both Woodgate and Sandro being added to our Champions League squad we also have serious experience of playing top flight games. With our young Brazilian having recently won the Copa Libertadores and Jonathan Woodgate having a wealth of time being in and around the Leeds team that came so very close all those years ago and having also spent time at Real Madrid at the time of the previous Galacticos.

So I say let’s take it right to them, keeping the pressing game high up the pitch, retaining concentration so as not to be caught out as in our previous visit to the San Siro.Have no doubt this is a game we can win and with the Milan Manager Massimiliano Allegri already dismissing our chances let’s hope their players have taken on the same attitude, something which just may well come back to haunt them.

    • Take some digital photographs if you can and send them to us and we’ll upload them onto the blog all credit will go to you of course. This goes to all you travelling fans, good luck and be safe.

  2. Nice preview Foggy, but you’ve ran into the same thing as me, saying Cassano is available.
I was told that Antonio Cassano will not be playing as he is cup-tied. He played in the qualifiers with his old club Sampdoria.

  3. Cassano can play as sampdioria were knocked out in qualifiers to Bremen

  4. oh dear, just published an article VERY similar since i didnt check NewsNow. i guess you beat me to the punch! My Apologies. back to subject though, will be fantastic if they are fit. i think it will be too soon to start bale i think he should be on the bench to create an impact if he comes on, as i still feel kranjcar has done more than enough to justify another start after saving us the last couple of weeks! i think playing crouch and van der vaart at the san siro would be a wise move. jenas and palacios in the middle probably, just lacks creativity, not forgetting t should be damage limitation 1st leg! all the best! COME ON YOU SPURS

  5. with non of our stikers worth having as the focal point of an attack i say put them all on the bench and have no-one leading the line.

    vdv
    kranjcar and modric
    bale wilson/sandro lennon

i know thats drastic but when we play now we have no effective focal point and all decent attacking play comes from our midfield so lets run with it till we can get in a decent striker.

just imagine the beautiful football they’d play…and kranjcar, vdv, bale, prob lennon will all get more goals this season than defoe, pav or crouch

  6. Milan have selection issues of their own. Nesta, Emanuelson, Gattuso, Pirlo, Van Bommel, Inzaghi and Cassano should all be unavailable.

If playing VDV, Modders, and Bale is deemed too much risk then I’d start with:

    Gomes
    Corluka Gallas Dawson BAE
    Lennon Jenas Palacios Pienaar
    Defoe Crouch

S: Cudicini, Woody, Bass, Hutton, Sandro, Krank, Pav

I’ve gone for a high energy midfield as we’ll need to press them from the off. There’s also plenty of pace on the counter attack.

  7. Sorry but i think you will find JJ will be taking a rest in this one as he is suspended due to a yellow card inthe last match.Check it out if you want but i am near 100% he can’t play.

  8. guys, cassano and van bommel can’t play in europe with acmilan. pirlo, ambrosini and inzaghi are out for both matches and 3/4 others are slighly injured. They’re gonna play with: abbiati, nesta, thiago silva, abate, antonini, gattuso, flamini, seedorf, robinho, pato, ibrahimovic

  9. WITH ALL OUR PROBLEMS OF LETTING IN EARLY GOALS I WOULD PACK THE DEFENCE WITH ALL OUR FIT DEFENDERS , LETS FACE IT DEFOE CAN`T SCORE ! PAVLYUCHENKO CAN`T SCORE ! CROUCH CAN`T SCORE ! SO THAT`S 3 WE CAN`T DEPEND ON ! WE MIGHT AS WELL PLAY WITH A DEFENSIVE BERLIN TYPE WALL AND HOPE ALL OUR MISSING STARS WILL BE FIT TO TEAR THEM APART AT THE LANE ! MY ONLY PROBLEM IS GOMES WHAT A CANARY HE CAN BE ! GOMES CORLUKA DAWSON GALLAS BASSONG WOODGATE EKOTTO LENNON SANDRO VDV KRANJAR GOOD LUCK LADS AND COYS ! ! !
