The latest news coming from ESPN is that the scan to Michael Dawsons leg has revealed now fracture or no snapped ligaments and that he is likely to be back in action in around 6 weeks time. If this is true then i suppose you have to class it as good news, it as feared he would be out for 6 months or more.
Dawson landed awkwardly in England’s Euro qualifier against Bulgaria and looked to be in excruciating pain as he was stretechered off. My initial thought was that it looked like ligament damage but it turns out it might not be as serious as first thought. The news will delight Harry Redknapp.
In a recent statement issued by the FA, it said that Michael will be missing the team’s Euro 2012 qualifier against Switzerland on Tuesday. Dawson has now been released back to Tottenham for further treatment, but Fabio Capello has decided not to call up a replacement for him.
The club have confirmed that Dawson will be out from between 6 to 8 weeks as our source informed us. This is a blow for us but it could have been a whole lot worse so I guess you could say this is good news. We have sufficient cover for this period with Galls,Bassong,King and Kaboul and Corluka can also play in the center.
