Well ….. it may not be the exciting ‘marquee’ signing we were hoping to see before our debut Champions League season, but at least it’s a start!

According to reports Harry Redknapp has completed a deal to bring in ‘the promise of Honduras football’ in 17 year old striker Anthony Lozano.

Goal Threat ? - Lozano

With three goals in six appearances for his club side CD Olimpia and a stunning return of 11 goals in eight appearances as captain of the U17 Honduran national side, Lozano clearly has an eye for goal. Whether we will ever get to see him in the Lillywhite shirt in a competitive match ….. we’ll have to wait and see!

While the club are yet to confirm reports, they have admitted that the player is at the club on a ten day trial and a number of sources are now claiming that a deal for the prospect is already in place.

If the club do announce the deal as complete, then he would be Harry’s second signing of the summer following the arrival of Brazilian midfielder Sandro earlier in the transfer window.

  1. Wikipedia has this as an actual signing, rather than a trial

  2. It’s long term stratagery.

  3. hahahahahahahahahahahahaha we are gonna get slaughtered tomorrow, laughed out of the prem with bids for Bellamy Pleitsko Richards Ireland Parker Young Fabiano Adriano Forlan Suarez Dzeko and what do we get…………………………we are fielding the same team less Gudjohnson this season nothing wrong with that but I cant see us being different to last season. so if we stay still and others improve well we can expect a 6th or 7th place. Liverpool have a better squad Mancity have a better squad the writing is on the walls

  4. Apologies to fellow Yids for the negative comment but we really should have tied down a solid striker Central Defender and an experienced solid left back…

  5. Sack redknapp, bring in gog as new manager cos he obviously knows more about football than the man who brought champions league football to the lane for the first time. Harry knows what he’s doing, lets get behind him and the team this season. Get banana skin young boys out of the way then see who signs, we’ve got time yet.

  6. Don’t be such a silly gog……………gog.

  7. OMG this guy’s stats at the moment look rather Pele-ish lmao.
He has officially signed for us according to Wiki but a shirt number is yet to be confirmed…

  8. We will be sponsored by Mothercare soon.

Where are these experienced players Harry has been after for years ?

  9. @Shelfie:
Well he has been after Gallas for a week or two ;D
    lmao.

  10. why would we need a new striker,CB and LB if the squad we had last year got us 4th, forget about what other teams are doing, our squad was good enough to finish 4th last year, so why cant we do it again, an even better season for jermaine defoe is on the cards, dawson is improving, and am i the only ‘super spurs’ fan that doesnt see anything wrong with benoit assou-ekotto, all i can remeber him doing wrong last season was giving a penalty away against stoke in a game we won anyway. COYS 🙂 <3

  11. Tottenham should NOT sign players just to sign players. That is the biggest mistake we have made the last 20 years.I would rather not sign anybody than sign the WRONG player for god knows how many millions. For me Dos Santos will be a “new signing” for us this season.

  12. Poor old Berbatov. All he did was refuse to play one game and he gets stink eye from Spurs fans.
Dos Santos never delivered anything for Spurs and goes missing for two years an now he is a hero.
    Football fans are fickle.

  13. Completely agree with del boy, dos santos is like a new signing hopefully at some point woody will be back he wasn’t here last season well bar 2 games, so thats 2 players that will improve a team that finished 4th last year. Have liverpool really got that much better Joe cole who will be injured half the year as soon as torres gets injured there screwed. Man city obviously stronger but they will take time to settle and keep settled. Villas will be weaker without milner. At least all our players have stayed together we had a great team spirit last year why ruin that for some players that may not perform anyway. 2v1 spurs win today

  14. “following the arrival of midfielder Sandro…” Have I missed something here? As far as I’m aware, he hasn’t arrived yet…in fact he still has the second leg of the Copa Libertores final to play with his current team!

  15. Have to agree with the benny ekoutto comment, oddly enough feel he had an outstanding season overall
and has come on leaps and bounds. Unlike Jdefoe,Crouch Palacios who have all gone backwards without
pause. NO eider deal is a big loss for me, a player unlike the afore mentioned is a cut above the average or
good footballer. Great touch , strength and awareness (sound likeanything wehave )not in my eyes. Unless
we replace him and the longer Crouch and defoe are 1st choice the futther away we will drift all season of that
Im assured. Really really hope dos santos adds that xtra something we lacked last season , not sure about
Gallas ‘cow boy’ though. Roll on Man City……….coys

  16. Well its good to know only the minority post on here, what rediculous comments some of you make.
We had half the team out injured last season AND still got fourth! Most of you want or need a signing just so you can say we got someone. Imo we have noo need to waste money, gallas would be good for experience and cover, if knowone else signs then so be it. nuff said

  17. Do you think that Harry is really Andy Pipkin? he just goes around saying “I want that one”, and hey presto Levy (Lou) gets it for him, for crying out loud, some of you really need to think a little about how transfers happen and the connotations involved in them or better still, stay off the PS3

  18. l

Lozano scoring for honduras against germany in 2009 u17 world cup seems to have some potential and im sure wilson put us on to him…. futures bright futures lilywhite COYS
