Manchester United & Chelsea are both ready to test Spurs resolve with a January bid for Spurs defender Jan Vertonghen.
Vertonghen has previously told Spurs he has no plans to sign a new deal which has brought into question his commitment to the club.
Louis Van Gaal wants to improve Manchester United’s defensive crisis and Chelsea look to add reinforcements as they always do especially with John Terry not getting any younger.
Pochettino left Jan on the bench against Manchester City, a sign that the Spurs manager isn’t impressed with Vertonghen at the moment.
It is thought a bid of around £15m could be enough to see Spurs sell although Daniel Levy would prefer to sell abroad and he might get his wish as Barcelona are also keen on the Spurs man.
