The win against Sunderland was so much better than the one against Fulham. We showed real incisiveness and created a lot of chances, had a fluid feel to the mid field and defended better too. Whats that you say? I am reading too much into a win against the bottom placed team in the league? Maybe, I am but consecutive victories after a strong draw heading into the mad schedule this December should restore some confidence into our supposedly doomed team.
We are a win away from Champions league position people. Stop waiting for the crisis to occur and get behind this team!!
The game itself was fun. We again gave up the lead just as we started dominating possession. The Goal was a blunder by Lloris who is still, in my opinion, among the best out there. This last performance will however continue to bring up discussion about his post concussion performance. Defoe was so much better today. He was incisive and a good day would have had a couple of goals to his name from open play. He hit the wood work and missed a couple of opportunities in the box but a couple of performances like this and he just might find himself staying on at White Hart Lane contrary to immense speculation in the media.
AVB continued to baffle with changes to the defense and starting eleven but they are working and I still think he is still experimenting with different combinations looking for a set up that he feels fits with the style of play he wants the team to imbibe as well as one that the players he has are comfortable with. I am officially giving up on future predictions of what the manager should do because I clearly do not have a clue.
Not dropping points against Fulham and Sunderland was a big achievement for the team on the back of immense pressure from all quarters. Cheers to that. Liverpool next on our turf..cannot wait!Follow @TrfficTottenham
