The last couple of months, the media have bombed us with facts and fiction, regarding the transfer of our precious Gareth Bale.

But can we believe everything the media tells us?

At the end of the season, Bale expressed so much love towards THFC; Our supporters, my family development i London, my superstar status, and how A.V.B made me a better football player, by helping me enjoy my football.

So many times the last weeks, the media have spread so many lies about his statements. Nobody really knew what was going on, regarding his transfer

When it comes to Tottenhams economy, it’s not like we HAVE to sell him!? Of course i’m thinking of balancing the books. With our new summer signings, here are some number below, to prove my point…

Spurs got a £50m loan from Joe Lewis. We have sold players for £23.3m, and bought for £87m ( Before a potential Vlad Chiriches deal ). We have also let players go, to save wages. All in all , Spurs also had a nice looking bank account from earlier years.

My obvious point is that, if Mr.Levy really wants to keep Gareth ( For more reasons ,than only being one hell of a player ) this could really work. How much has this juvenile and attention seeking media brainwashed us? The only thing i can say is ; Lets see how our squad looks , after deadline day passes.

It wouldn’t surprise me if our #11 Bale, is still in our squad by September 3rd.

You really think Levy wants to wait 4 years, for his Bale money? But it’s not impossible, that there are other offers too…

In Daniel Levy We Trust!

As if you didn’t already know, our want away midfield maestro, Luka Modric is declaring that we should understand his situation and sell him.

Now first things first, if you want to move on and be sold in 6 months time, don’t sign a 6 year contract extension!

Secondly, why would he want to go to Chelski when they clearly undervalue him, at less that half that of Torres? If he were to be sold to Chelski then we should value him as Chelsea valued Torres, in which case we should demand no less than £60m as Luka is the better player of the two. Luka needs to understand before he goes off on a rant that we won’t sell him for pennies to our rivals. It’s all well and good demanding we sell him to Chelski but if they don’t match our valuation then he won’t be going anywhere!

Now having said that, I would hope, should Levy decide to cash in on Modric, that we would absolutely not sell to our rivals, and let’s face it, our rivals are anyone in the Premier League who could afford him. So that just leaves the top European teams. If he has to go, I would not want him weakening our team and strengthening our rivals at the same time.

It’s a shame that Modric can’t realise, Chelski aren’t a top club…they’re an established money pot. How he holds a team with no history, tradition, loyalty or class in such high regard I don’t know. Their repeated attempts and successes at illegally tapping up players is quite frankly disgusting. These days it seems players just get money confused with ambition…much like Wayne Rooney.

Personally I would rather see Modric rot in the reserves for 6 years then see him playing for another premiership team.

Last night to the delight of all of us, Levy confirmed that Luka Modric will not be sold, irrespective of any transfer fee, no matter how high.

Levy confirmed “We had a very good conversation and, as I’ve said previously, Luka Modric will not be sold. This isn’t about money – we’re not selling our best players”. This was music to my ears.

So why then, less than 24 hours after putting the issue to rest, do the daily mail still claim Modric will leave. The chairman, and therefore the man who controls who comes and goes, has confirmed he is going no where.

It seems that the daily mail remain hell bent on selling our Modric to anyone, but specifically Chelsea. It’s gone beyond good (and by good, I mean awful) press now, and is getting to the point where I wouldn’t be surprised if Chelsea were paying the daily mail to do the tapping up.

It is common knowledge that the daily mail are possibly the biggest culprits in the media world for making up transfer stories, especially where Spurs are concerned. They need to understand that nobody takes their transfer stories seriously and it would bode them well to get out of their office and actually find a newsworthy story with some truth attached to it.

Double Swoop For Huntelaar and Pienaar + Keane to Villa?

Just read this in the Daily Mail….

Harry Redknapp has identified Holland striker Klaas Jan Huntelaar as a player to boost Tottenham’s scoring in the Champions League next season.

The Spurs manager will also keep an eye on Everton’s South Africa midfielder Steven Pienaar while a BBC World Cup pundit.

Target: Klaas Jan Huntelaar

It spells the start of a clear-out at White Hart Lane, with club captain Robbie Keane set to join Aston Villa and Jermaine Jenas offered as bait to lure Pienaar.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is ready to loosen the purse strings after the club finished fourth last season.

Pienaar, who has a year left on his contract, is keen to move to a Champions League club.AC Milan have made it clear Huntelaar, 26, could be surplus to requirements if they can sign Sevilla’s Luis Fabiano.

The much-travelled Huntelaar cost just under £15million from Real Madrid a year ago. But despite being considered one of Holland’s finest front men the Italians feel he had an indifferent first season with seven goals in 21 appearances.

Now I like both players and lets face it we might aswell cash in on Keane and look into the future. Both are great players, Pienaar is still young and Huntelaar still has many years left. Huntelaar needs a new home, he hasnt settled in at Ac Milan or at Real Madrid so I would welcome him to the lane with open arms. We never broke into the top 4 with Keane so I don’t feel we need him, let Villa have him. Keane lost the hearts of most Tottenham fans the day he left us for Liverpool and he has never managed to win back our affection.

I hope it isn’t just paper talk as I like the idea of this happening and feel it would only make us stronger for a season which involves a Champions League campaign.
