The date was 4th March 2007, the venue was Upton Park. It was relegation bound West Ham v Spurs and if you remember this match you will also remember the feeling of what you had just witnessed after 90 mins or should I say after 95 mins.

You will remember it was March and the Hammers were rooted to the bottom of the table by 10 points, it looked as though they were destined for the drop. Carlo Tevez had yet to score a goal all season long. Tottenham on the other hand after a slow start to the season managed to finish 5th.

The video you are about to witness I made myself for you guys, this game stuck in my memory and I couldn’t find the goals anywhere so I bought the video so you better appreciate my efforts lol.

I remember when Stalteri scored the winner and the buzz I had running through my body was unbelievable. The match was over 3 years ago now but it is a match I have never forgotten and some of you have probably looked for highlights yourself but most have been removed so enjoy this while you can. My favourite score in football is a good old 4-3 that is in the balance for the whole 90 mins and swings both ways, you just can’t beat ’em

Stalteri sinks the Hammers

Liverpool are planning a shock move for Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp, Sky Sports sources understand.

The Anfield outfit are searching for a new man at the helm after Rafa Benitez’s six-year reign was brought to an end by mutual consent on Thursday.

And Spurs boss Redknapp has emerged as a leading contender for the Reds hierarchy as they aim to bring stability back to Merseyside.

Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish and managing director Christian Purslow have been charged with the task of identifying and selecting a replacement.

Dalglish knows Redknapp well having brought his son Jamie to Anfield in January 1991 when he was at the helm of the five-time European champions and the two families have been close ever since.
Reputation

Redknapp’s reputation as a transfer market wheeler-dealer has made him an attractive option for Liverpool, who are heavily in debt and could have only £5million to invest in new players if they do not trim their squad this summer.

The former Bournemouth, West Ham, Southampton and Portsmouth manager has transformed the fortunes of the White Hart Lane club since replacing Juande Ramos in October 2008.

Redknapp his since guided the club into the top four of the Premier League – ironically at the expense of Liverpool – and they have the prospect of UEFA Champions League football to look forward to next season.

Spurs would be loath to lose the services of Redknapp, who has been granted an impressive transfer budget during his time in North London, and are sure to fight hard to keep the 63-year-old.

Redknapp has only one year remaining on his current contract at White Hart Lane and talks over a new deal are yet to take place.

Now my view on this is almost laughable, why would Redknapp want to leave a top 4 club for a mid table side?. If the reds do decide to make a move for the Spurs boss I fully expect Harry to tell them thanks but no thanks.

Well I thought Tottenham centre half Michael Dawson was probably the most unluckiest player to miss out on Capello’s final 23 for the World Cup. He had a solid season and lost out on his place for the likes of Upson and Carragher who got in on reputation alone. However today justice has been served but fate played a cruel trick on England captain Rio Ferdinand as he was today ruled out through injury. This is terrible news for England but for me as a Tottenham fan I was delighted to learn that Dawson had now been called back into the England team. Now I personally would hope it was any other defender except Ferdinand but to see Dawson get what he should have righfully had in the first place is great.

Fabio Capello now has a major headache, surely if he has any sense he will put Ledley at the heart of the defense now Rio is out, but I have that sickening feeling he will pick Carragher. If England don’t opt for King and Terry,King and Dawson or at the very least King and Carragher as partnerships, they have no chance. At all costs I would keep Upson out of the team, I think he is a good defender but not better than any of the others and certainly is no world cup winner. Lets hope Capello knows his stuff and earns his Spurs by putting his faith in Dawson if Ledley has to miss one or two of the games through his knee injury. I know that dawson wouldn’t let our nation down because I see him week in week out and know that he is just as good as John Terry based on this season. It’s time for the England team to stop being picked on reputation and to be picked on form alone, players have to stop living off their past reputations and earn all their caps.

Michael Dawson and Ledley King , all us Spurs fans know you can do it, lets just hope for the sake of our nation you are given the chance.
